Communications Officer
Avon Wildlife Trust has bold plans to boost nature’s recovery, and we need a comms professional to shape and share our stories.
You’ll use your digital content creation flair to implement a communications plan for our newest land acquisition, to engage and inspire our local communities and demonstrate the impact of our work.
As part of a busy and dynamic comms team, you’ll support a mix of communications channels, including social media, short form video creation, blog posts and email newsletters, with specific focus on our new land acquisition.
Experience of building relationships with local and regional media will help to raise awareness of our exciting new projects.
Working closely with fundraising colleagues, you’ll create compelling stories that encourage more people to support our work.
You’ll be able to create content that conveys complex but important topics in an engaging way to a range of audiences. Previous experience of designing and editing digital assets would be an advantage.
In return, you’ll be joining a supportive and inclusive charity that is making a real difference for nature locally and regionally.
Avon Wildlife Trust is a charity dedicated to working with local people for local wildlife, covering the West of England region (former county of Avon). It is supported by more than 17,500 members, manages over 30 nature reserves and is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts in the UK. We want to see nature restored on a grand scale across the Avon region, with one in four people taking action for wildlife.
Avon Wildlife Trust is an equal-opportunity employer. We are committed to developing an inclusive and diverse organisation where everyone feels supported, valued, and able to be their full selves. To achieve our vision of seeing nature restored on a grand scale across the Avon region, we need talented and more diverse people on nature’s side.
