As we come out of the second lockdown, and find our way forwards into the festive season, I am yet again in awe of how much joy and freedom time spent connecting with nature has given me. Over the past month the changing colours throughout our landscapes, the flocks of birds and the crisp autumn sunsets have provided me with a sense of light in an otherwise restricting time. No doubt the holidays will be a little different this year, but I will be looking at the natural world to lift my spirits throughout the season.

After the year we've had, it is a time to be kind to yourself as well as the people and causes you care about most. As nature has helped so many of us during the pandemic, we have thought of lots of ways you can give a gift this winter while helping to protect and restore local wildlife. Together, we will come back stronger in 2021 and continue reaching for our goal to secure 30% of land and sea for wildlife by 2030.
