Local nature needs a voice
Avon Wildlife Trust speaks out on issues that threaten nature in our region.
We respond to local and national government consultations on environmental policy, making the case for nature. We support our members and supporters to connect with their local MP’s and decision makers on local issues that have consequences for local wildlife.
Working with others
When we need to amplify our voice, we work in partnership with communities, other charities, and local authorities. We work with other Wildlife Trusts to promote solutions and alternatives to propositions that endanger the future for our local wildlife.
Our resources are finite and we're unable to respond to every planning application or development. We prioritise those that pose the biggest threat to the environment, nature, and sites that are protected or designated.
In cases where we are unable to respond due to limited resources, we provide guidance and resources to empower local communities and individuals to respond themselves.
