Volunteering for nature

Avon Wildlife Trust is committed to empowering volunteers to take action for nature.

Our volunteers are a valued community who give their time to make a difference for wildlife in Avon.

As a volunteer, you will have the chance to meet like-minded people, and learn about our native wildlife.  As well as improving your physical, and mental wellbeing, volunteering is a great way to enhance your CV, support study and gain valuable skills.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some questions we are often asked about volunteering with Avon Wildlife Trust:

How can I get involved?

Contact the relevant person for the opportunities above. If you can't find what you're looking for, please email us on volunteer@avonwildlifetrust.org.uk. We can see if we can organise something that you are interested in.

I have mobility problems, can I still help out?

We have a range of opportunities to suit different needs, including office based roles and, at times, outdoor roles which require less physical exertion. Please get in touch with us to discuss your needs on volunteer@avonwildlifetrust.org.uk or 07579218691.

Do I need any previous experience?

No, just a willingness to learn!

How can I give feedback about my experience?

We welcome all feedback. You can either email us at volunteer@avonwildlifetrust.org.uk or call us at 07579218691.

I would be interested in using my work volunteering day at Avon Wildlife Trust, how do I organise this?

Currently the only volunteering that we offer is through the Wild Work Days. We dont currently have the capacity to organise one off volunteering for people to use their volunteering day with our organisation.

Wild Work Days

We offer a range of opportunities for your team to get together beyond the office, to reconnect with the natural world. We provide learning experiences to support behaviour change whilst also giving back to the local natural environment, and take further action in supporting nature’s recovery.
